Linode is the bedrock of my raw infrastructure. Now backed by Akamai’s massive global network, it represents the gold standard for reliable Linux cloud computing. I prefer Linode for its “no-nonsense” approach to virtualisation. It provides high-performance compute instances without the proprietary lock-in or hidden costs of AWS.

I use it to provision clean, unmanaged servers where I have total root control over the stack. Its documentation library is arguably the best in the industry, and its API allows for programmatic server deployment. Whether running a simple web server or a complex Kubernetes cluster, Linode provides the stable, predictable hardware layer that every robust architecture requires.
