In my methodology, code is the final step, not the first. FlowMapp is the “Blueprinting Engine” for my information architecture. Before a single server is provisioned, I use this tool to map the entire digital ecosystem, from sitemaps to complex user journey flows.
It serves as the contract between the stakeholder’s vision and the engineering reality. I use it to identify logic gaps and navigation bottlenecks during the planning phase, preventing expensive “scope creep” during development. It allows me to visualise the hierarchy of content and the relational database structure required to support it. For a System Thinker, FlowMapp is where the building actually happens. The rest is just assembly.
